An Analysis of Errors in English Writing: A Case Study the Third Semester Students of UBSI

The objectives of this research are to know the errors in third semester students’ writing Bina Sarana Informatika University and most frequent error. It is concerned grammatical semantic substance errors. data analyzed by using James’ theory (Mungungu, 2010). findings show that done students spelling 50.9%, fragment 15.7%, punctuation 9.8%, adjective 3%, subject- verb agreement 3.9%, preposition capitalization tenses 2%, literal translation 2%. can be concluded error spelling. because missed a letter, added more letter word, exchange letter. While In category, fragment. do not put subject sentence.
